About my Company
R-U-A Turtle? Enterprises was conceived out of my desire to purchase products with the “Are You A Turtle?” logo after I was initiated into the American Turtle Association in 1997. Frustrated by my inability to find anything with the “Are You A Turtle” logo, I decided to start my own company. My purpose was two-fold. First, to provide affordable, quality “Are You A Turtle” products to members who, like me, wanted to show their pride in becoming “Turtles”; and second, I wanted to give something back to the community. I felt the best way to do this was to invest in our youth by making monetary contributions to designated youth groups in the community from proceeds generated from the sale of my products.

What is a Turtle?
To the uninitiated, a turtle is a four-legged, lowly reptile that lives within a shell. To the initiated, a Turtle is a high-minded, fun-loving, superior creature who has come out of its shell.

About The Association (American Turtle Association)
The Turtle concept is said to have originated during the Korean War, and initially began as a military drinking association. Several offspring of the original body have arisen and are spread across the world. Most of the organizations are dedicated to charitable endeavors. The American Turtle Association was formed to channel funds to other organizations in the African-American community, and, in particular, the Masonic community. The organization expanded to benefit the youth of the community by way of the Official youth group of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons. However, you do not have to be associated with a Masonic Lodge to become a member of the American Turtle Association.

Soooo..... “Are you a Turtle?”
